Biography

Dr. Most is a Professor in the Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Department of NDMU-SIOH. She is published in the areas of 5 Element acupuncture, acupuncture and dry needling, acupuncture education and co-created the acupuncture protocol for and was a practitioner in a pilot study of acupuncture, physical therapy and low back pain, completed at the Baltimore Veterans Administration Hospital. Dr. Most is the chair of the Society for Acupuncture Research Special Interest Group on Education and has been a principal investigator for a survey of subject matter experts, stakeholders, and students, in order to improve acupuncture research education. Among other courses, she developed and taught the Integrative Science of Acupuncture, which explores the past, present, and future of acupuncture research; Mind Body Science; Chinese and Western Dietary Therapy; Foundations of Oriental Medicine; and Interdisciplinary Diagnosis and Treatment (Doctoral program); and has been a clinical supervisor. She currently teaches History and Evolution of Acupuncture Research at Daoist Traditions in Asheville, NC.
