Biography

Stacey Nelson, MA, LCPC, LCPAT, ATR-BC is an art therapist specializing in autism and trauma. Stacey graduated from 海角社区 with a Bachelor of Arts degree (double major of psychology and studio arts). She earned her Master of Arts in Art Therapy from the University of Louisville in 1997 and a post master鈥檚 certificate in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University in 2014. Stacey currently works as the Lead Art Therapist at Kennedy Krieger Schools in Maryland. Stacey teaches adjunctively in the art therapy graduate programs at George Washington University and 海角社区. Stacey has written and presented about workplace violence impacting mental health staff. She is currently Vice Chair on the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists. Stacey teaches Child and Adolescent Art Therapy during Summer Session B. She has taught this class since the art therapy program鈥檚 beginning.
